Oh dear, I haven't posted in a long time! Sorry, poor neglected Vox blog.
I almost bought this chocolate today:
They are offered by Coco.Luxe Confections. The chocolates are reasonably priced, but unfortunately shipping would have been $26 or something! Guess I'll just have to take a trip to the Bay Area.
We went to the Hillsdale Farmer's Market today. I got a hanging flower basket, which I'm hoping I don't kill. Peter got a pastrami sandwich from the Pastrami King, and he said it was outstanding.
Now that's pastrami!
It's a soft serve ice cream machine! Find it here. My regular ice cream maker died, so I DO need a replacement ...
I traveled the globe yesterday, but I didn't have to leave my neighborhood. First I went to a Korean market that recently reopened after burning to the ground last winter. It was very clean, and they had big tubs of kim chee. What's not to like about that? I got some roasted corn tea there:
I had corn tea once at a Korean restaurant, and it was delicious. It tasted like corn! Who'd have thunk? The corn tea looks like Corn Nuts.
So after the Korean market I headed to this weird little new strip mall that has a bunch of international offerings. On the spur of the moment I got a manicure from the Vietnamese shop. It was the first time I had ever gotten a manicure on my own volition. It was great, and now my hands don't look totally ratty (though they still look like old lady hands). After the manicure I headed to the Russian market for some more Russian chocolate eggs!
